Wildflower Or Mistaken Sunflower

Happy, yellow, tiny flower
Blooming without much care
Swaying amid green bushes
Carefree and liberated
Spectator plucked her
Kept amongst bunch of sunflower
She felt she belonged there
Alas! She was a wildflower
Unlike sunflower,
Sun’s rays began
To prick her
When searing pain
turned into sting,
She decides to turn over
And get some sleep
As her grace withered,
People turned their back
And soon forgotten
To water her !
Questioning herself,
What gaffe has she made?
Who would tell her ?
She was an unwanted seed
Who grew from weed,
Taken care as per need !
She can’t be,
As sofisticated as Sunflower
Still, she can be
Her own kind of Wildflower
Agonizing to watch,
How everyone turned away
On to her faded beauty
But remember - my bud,
The wind will blow,
The grass will wave
And so will you grow !
No less. No more.
Stand still, firm and tall
Bend, if you need to howl
Hold the roots, and your soil
Cause’ that’s how mistaken sunflower
survives the sun-burn turmoil !
